| The Jefferson County Commission heard today from officer Tim Yearwood, who is working with the Birmingham VA Health Care System about a new initiative being offered by the VA that helps Veterans experiencing a mental health crisis. Please see his presentation here: Click on Link They hope to work with local law enforcement agencies to help train officers on how to deal with Veterans in a crisis situation.  |
