Jefferson County has promoted W. Vincent Curtis to Deputy Director of Human Resources serving with existing Deputy Director Romissa Walton.

Curtis has an impressive career spanning nearly two decades in the merit system of Jefferson County and has continuously excelled in various roles. For the past seven years, Curtis has served as the HRIS/HR Division Manager, overseeing the Human Resources Information Systems. Prior to that, he held positions as an Application Developer, Manager of Information Technology and Infrastructure, Business Systems and Reporting Manager, Systems Analyst, and Data Management Specialist. This vast experience has equipped Curtis with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of human resources management, as well as the technical skills necessary to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. 

Curtis holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, further enhancing his ability to apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to his role. With his exceptional background and commitment to excellence, Curtis is poised to make a significant impact inhis new role as Deputy Director of Human Resources, ensuring that the Jefferson County Commission continues to thrive in its HR initiatives.
