Household Hazardous Waste/Electronics/Paper Shredding Event

Free for all Jefferson County residents. Please bring us your household hazardous waste/electronics/TVs/paper. The event starts at 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at 3 different locations: City of Bessemer Laydown Yard, 1205 15th Ave. N, First Baptist Church in Gardendale-South location, and Classic Car Motoring, 3900 Grants Mill Rd. Put your items in the trunk and leave the rest to us. Items accepted include: batteries, cleaners, degreasers, filters, fluids, fuel additives, gas, oil, rust removers, and tires without rims. We also accept fire extinguishers, gas cylinders, light bulbs and items that contain mercury! Also, large appliances such as freezers, refrigerators, and water heaters. Questions? Call 205-325-8741.
