Hazardous Waste Day

October 19, 2024 is the second hazardous waste day of 2024. It will take place at Camp Bessemer, 3295 King Street, Bessemer, AL 35023 and Camp Ketona, 121 County Shop Road, Birmingham, AL 35217. It will start at 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  Items accepted include: paint products, outdoor products like insect sprays and pool chemicals, automotive products like batteries, gas and oil, household products like aerosols. We also accept appliances, electronics, fire extinguishers, gas cylinders and propane bottles. Item not accepted include: ammunition, asbestos, medical waste, radioactive materials and unidentified materials. If you have questions call 205-325-8741.
