National Walk @ Lunch (see flyer)
DOOR PRIZE DRAWING FOR PRE-REGISTRANTS!!!! 

Please see the attached flyer for more information about the National Walk @ Lunch Day which will be held at Lynn Park on April 30th.

Getting 30 minutes of moderate physical activity, such as a brisk walk, at least five times a week can result in significant health benefits such as lowering the risk of developing or dying from cardiovascular disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes and improving the health of muscles, bones and joints, so let’s get started!!!!!!

AVOID LONG REGISTRATION LINES!!!
All walkers must sign up for the walk and sign a medical release to participate in the walk.

Once registered, we will have record of your registration and signed release.  Simply come by the Jefferson County Commission table in Lynn Park for check in on the day of the walk.  Registrations forms will be available the day of the walk; you may also pre-register in Human Resources #A610.

APRIL IS ALCOHOL AWARENESS MONTH

BHS offers counseling for a wide range of emotional issues, including, substance abuse and many other mental health-related issues. To find out more about covered conditions and the different treatment options available, call 800-245-1150.  Services are covered if you are a member of the Jefferson County Commission Group Health Plan, if not a member of the health plan; please take advantage of One Free initial assessment available to ALL County employees through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
